HELL IS REAL

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS - HELL IS REAL!

& THE LAKE OF FIRE...

*Please share; every soul is valuable to God.

If these men die naturally like all men, or if they are visited by the common fate of all men, then the Lord has not sent me. But if the Lord creates a new thing, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the pit (hell), then you will understand that these men have rejected the Lord.

Now it came to pass, as he finished speaking all these words, that the ground split apart under them, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed them up, with their households and all the men with Korah, with all their goods. So they and all those with them went down alive into the pit (hell); the earth closed over them, and they perished from among the assembly.

(Numbers 16:29-33) 1599 Geneva Bible Footnotes: Numbers 16:30 Or, hell.

Let them go down alive into hell.   (Psalm 55:15)

The way of life winds upward for the wise, that he may turn away from hell (Sheol, Hades, the nether world, the place of the dead) below.
(Proverbs 15:24)

“And they shall go forth and look upon the corpses (carcasses) of the men (people) who have transgressed (sinned, rebelled) against Me. For their worm does not die, (the worms that eat them will never die) and their fire is not quenched (never goes out, will never stop). They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh (it will be a horrible sight).”
(Isaiah 66:24)

...when I cast him down to hell with them that descend into the pit...
(Ezekiel 31:16)

They also went down into hell...  (Ezekiel 31:17)

...who have gone down to hell.  (Ezekiel 32:27)

He (Christ)...will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.
(Matthew 3:12)

(Matthew 5:20-30) Verse 22 specifically warns of the danger of the fires of hell

...shall be cast out into utter darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  (Matthew 8:12)

Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell(Matthew 10:28)

And thou, Capernaum, which art exalted unto heaven, shalt be brought down to hell: for if the mighty works, which have been done in thee, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

(Matthew 11:23)

The Son of man shall send forth his Angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity, and shall cast them into a (fiery) furnace of fire. There shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.  (Matthew 13:41-42)

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

(Matthew 16:18)

...to be cast into the everlasting fire (Matthew 18:8,9)

(Mark 3:29)

(Mark 9:43-48) Verses 44, 46, 48 specifically warns of hell where the fire never goes out.

And they begged Him that He would not command them to go out into the abyss. (the deep, the pit, the middle/center of the earth - Hell is in the center of the earth).

(Luke 8:31)

And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven?  No, you will be brought down to hell!  (Luke 10:15)

But I will show you whom you should fear: Fear Him who, after He has killed, has power to cast into hell; yes, I say to you, fear Him!   (Luke 12:5)

(Luke 16:23-25) Various translations specifically warns of hell being a place of torment in flames, constantly tortured, suffering in fire...

(Acts 2:31)

In flaming fire, rendering vengeance unto them, that do not know God, and which obey not unto the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, which shall be punished with everlasting perdition (eternal damnation or Hell) from the presence of the Lord...
(2 Thessalonians 1:8,9)

And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment...  (Hebrews 9:27)

Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth...there is only the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire...

(Hebrew 10:26-27)

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

(Hebrews 10:31)

But we are not of those who draw back to perdition

(eternal damnation or Hell), but of those who believe to

the saving of the soul.

(Hebrews 10:39)

The tongue is a fire. It is a world of wickedness and evil, corrupting and defiling the whole body, and sets on fire the course of our life, and it is set on fire by hell.

(James 3:6)

...and will eat your flesh like fire (James 5:3)

...cast them down to hell...  (2 Peter 2:4)

Even as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

(Jude 7)

And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire.

(Jude 23)

I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

(Revelation 1:18)

And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night.

(Revelation 14:11)

...was cast into the Lake of Fire and brimstone...and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.  (Revelation 20:10)

And the sea gave up her dead, which were in her, and death and hell delivered up the dead, which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death, and hell were cast into the Lake of Fire: this is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the Lake of Fire.  (Revelation 20:13-15) 1599 Geneva Bible

But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars—their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.  (Revelation 21:8)

Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
(1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, lustful pleasures, idolatry, witchcraft, sorcery, hatred, hostility, quarreling, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of anger (wrath), selfish ambitions, dissensions, division, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, gluttony, wild parties, orgies, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, be warned, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
(Galatians 5:19-21)

Is anything worth more than your soul?
(Mark 8:37 and Matthew 16:26)

He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.  (2 Peter 3:9)

I don’t want you to die, says the Sovereign Lord. Repent (turn back) and live!  (Ezekiel 18:32)

As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of wicked people. I only want them to turn from their wicked ways so they can live. Turn! Turn from your wickedness, O people of Israel! Why should you die?

(Ezekiel 33:11)

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.

(Hosea 4:6)

For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.
(John 3:16)

We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood…  (Romans 3:22-25)

...if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  (Romans 10:9)

For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord, shall be saved.

(Romans 10:13)

A SIMPLE SALVATION PRAYER:  Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness.  I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead.  I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life.  I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior.  In Your Name.  Amen.

(The word “believe” in the Bible means more than simply agreeing in our minds that something might be true. It means “trust”—that we believe so strongly in God that we are willing to commit our lives to Him and live the way we know He wants us to live. Suppose you were walking along a path and you came to a bridge which crossed a deep canyon. You might look at it and believe that it would hold you, and you might even see other people walking across it so you know it would hold your weight. But so far, your “belief” in the bridge is only in your head. When do you really believe the bridge will hold you? You only really believe it when you are willing to commit your life to it and actually walk across it. It is the same way with Christ. Yes, we can believe that God exists, but God wants us to come to know Him personally. And He has bridged the gap between us by sending His Son to remove the barrier of sin and become that “bridge.” To believe in Christ is to commit our lives by faith to Christ—to trust Him personally as our Lord and Savior. *Billy Graham)
