"The Fight of My Life"
Lord, my spirit is willing,
but my flesh is so weak.
Every day, I pray to You,
yet I don't hear You speak.
I've been beaten many times.
You know what I've been through.
I can't defeat this giant,
but I know I have to.
I've often fought this trial.
I've used all the strength in me.
Yet I lost in every battle,
and once again, I'm not free.
Lord, I'm tempted to call it quits,
and lay here on the ground.
I'm hurt from the pains in life.
I've struggled every round.
As I'm now at my lowest,
tears flow down my cheek.
I cry out to God,
"Jesus, I'm just too weak!"
Suddenly, I felt my body
being lifted up by my Lord.
He helped me on my feet,
and said, "Let's do this once more."
The giant threw its fists at me,
but on God's Word, I stood.
A blow to my head said, "Give up."
Yet he only thought I would.
I was determined to not back down.
I'd been here long enough.
No matter the hits in life;
What counts is I get back up.

Life threw me a hit,
but I won't quit.
It tried to take me out,
but I know what life's about.
It's about not giving up,
but getting back up.
It's about not giving in,
in this race to win.
It's about learning I'm not alone,
and knowing Heaven's my home.
I know who I am - I know where I'm going.
I'm a child of God, and I'm growing.
