KNOWING GOD

"To Know God More"

Eternal Jesus came from above.

The Word in flesh spoke God's love.

He left glory to be as we are

to bring the Father from afar.

Hell in fear when Christ walked the Earth.

His mission to save and give us new birth.

Jesus - the Christ and Anointed One,

was God in body, formed in one.

Equal to God, yet made into man,

humbled Himself to nails in His hand.

His precious blood shed for us all.

He became curse that came from the fall.

Then He rose from the dead; Conquered the grave.

The old rugged cross had the power to save!

Jesus - the Word, and so we read.

The Living Bread - our food we need.

The Father and Son share glory together.

We're one in God and one forever.

Bride and groom in unity

is liken three in Trinity.

A Holy covenant made from two;

Marriage is one as God is, too.

The Spirit comes from Father and Son;

The breath of life to everyone.

The Father in Christ, and Christ in Him.

All saints one, and one in Them.

The Holy Spirit revealed to me

as much as He opened my mind to see.

The deep things of God - a mystery.

The Spirit knows Him, entirely.

The TRINITY - Godhead - 3 in 1

(God is three persons in one:  God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit, and the indwelling of the Christian is by all three - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.)

*No man, not even the angels in heaven, can completely know/understand or does know God fully - only the Spirit.

God is Incomprehensible:

No one can know God’s thoughts, except God’s own Spirit.

No one knows the things of God, except the Spirit of God.

No one has the knowledge of the things of God.  (BBE)

(1 Corinthians 2:11)

God is Unsearchable:

Can you search out the deep things of God? Can you
find out the limits of the Almighty?
(Job 11:7)

And His greatness is unsearchable.
(Psalm 145:3)

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!
(Romans 11:33)

The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong unto us.
(Deut. 29:29)

Why do You hide Your face?
(Job 13:24)

And when He hides His face, who then can see Him?
(Job 34:29)

Truly, You are a God who hides Himself, O God of Israel, the Savior.
(Isaiah 45:15)

Even the angels are learning from us.  (Eph. 3:10; 1 Pet. 1:12)

God is Holy, Immortal, Incomprehensible, Infinite, Invisible, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient, Self-existent, Spirit, Unapproachable, Unchanging, Unfathomable, Unimaginable

Scriptures to know God more:

JESUS is God.  *Christ came, who is God over all.  (Romans 9:5)

JESUS is God.  *Christ himself was an Israelite as far as his human nature is concerned. And he is God, the one who rules over everything and is worthy of eternal praise! Amen.  (Romans 9:5 NLT)

JESUS is God.  *God was manifest in the flesh.  (1 Timothy 3:16).

JESUS is God.  *Christ is the visible image of the invisible God.  (Colossians 1:15).

JESUS is God.  *Christ Jesus, Who being in the form of God (though He was God)  (Philippians 2:5-6)

*(Footnotes: Geneva Bible-GNV:  Such as God Himself is, and therefore God (JESUS), for there is none in all parts like to God, but God himself.  Christ, that glorious and everlasting God.  (Philippians 2:6)

*But we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us a mind to know Him, which is true, and we are in Him that is true, that is, in that His Son Jesus Christ, the same is that very God, and that eternal life.  (1 John 5:20)

*That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened...(Ephesians 1:17-18)

*Baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit...(Matthew 28:19)

*This is that Jesus Christ that came by water and blood: not by water only, but by water and blood: and it is that Spirit that beareth witness: for that Spirit is truth.  For there are three, which bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the holy Ghost: and these three are one.  And there are three, which bear record in the earth, the Spirit, and the Water and the Blood: and these three agree in one.  (1 John 5:6-8)

*I (Jesus) will ask the Father and He will give you another Comforter, and He will never leave you.  He is the Holy Spirit, and the Spirit who leads into all truth...I will only reveal myself to those who love Me and obey Me.  The Father will love them too, and We will come to them and live with them.  (John 14:15-17, 23)

*The Lord hath possessed me in the beginning of his way: I was before his works of old. I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, and before the earth. When there were no depths, was I begotten, when there were no fountains abounding with water. Before the mountains were settled: and before the hills, was I begotten. He had not yet made the earth, nor the open places, nor the height of the dust in the world. When he prepared the heavens, I was there, when he set the compass upon the deep: When he established the clouds above: when he confirmed the fountains of the deep:  When he gave his decree to the sea, that the waters should not pass his commandment, when he appointed the foundations of the earth. Then was I with him as a nourisher, and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him. And took my solace in the compass of his earth: and my delight is with the children of men.  (Proverbs 8:22-31)

*(Footnotes: Geneva Bible-GNV:  Proverbs 8:22 - He declareth hereby the divinity and eternity of this wisdom, which he magnifieth and praiseth through this book: meaning thereby the eternal son of God Jesus Christ our Savior, whom Saint John calleth that word that was in the beginning, John 1:1.

Proverbs 8:23 - He declareth the eternity of the Son of God, which is meant by this word, wisdom, who was before all time, and ever present with the father.

Proverbs 8:30 - Some read, a chief worker: signifying that this wisdom, even Christ Jesus, was equal with God his father, and created, preserveth and still worketh with him, as John 5:17.

Proverbs 8:31 - Whereby is declared that the work of the creation was no pain, but a solace unto the wisdom of God.

Proverbs 8:31 - By earth he meaneth man, which is the work of God in whom wisdom took pleasure: insomuch as for man’s sake the divine wisdom took man’s nature, and dwelt among us, and filled us with unspeakable treasures: and this is that solace and pastime whereof is here spoken.  (Proverbs 8:22-31)

*(Footnotes: Geneva Bible-GNV:  The use of this ministry is perpetual so long as we are in this world, that is, until that time that having put off the flesh, and thoroughly and perfectly agreeing betwixt ourselves, we shall be joined with Christ our head. Which thing is done by that knowledge of the Son of God increasing in us, and He Himself by little and little growing up in us until we come to be a perfect man, which shall be in the world to come, when God shall be all in all. Christ is said to grow up to full age, not in himself, but in us.  (Ephesians 4:13)

*(Footnotes: Geneva Bible-GNV:  He said before that he was not perfect. So that in this place he calleth them perfect, which have somewhat profited in the knowledge of Christ and the Gospel...(Philippians 3:15)
